Managing Custom Fields

Custom fields are permission based, so access needs to be granted on a per user basis. When permission is granted that user will be able to access Custom Fields in Account Settings.

All custom fields created in your Rindle account are available for use system wide, across all boards.

There are two different ways you can display your custom fields:

Make available to display on boards (Default)

By default, unless you turn on Display on All Tasks, the custom field will be available to be applied to any board from the board settings screen.

When applied to a board, you may also set it to Show on Task Face, which will display the custom field's value on the task face (a value must be set). This setting can be turned on and off at anytime from board settings.

Display on All Tasks (Global)

When turned on, the custom field will be considered global and will appear in every task, regardless of the tasks location (including Tasks).

When this is turned on, you may also set it to Show on Task Face, which will display the global custom field's value on the task face (a value must be set). If you don't set this when creating or editing the custom field, users will be able to set Show on Task Face on a board by board basis.

All board member can add and remove available custom fields on a board.

Note: Global custom fields cannot be removed from a board.
