Board filtering is an efficient way of searching for (and displaying) tasks that are most relevant to you this very moment. Before Rindle, chances are you may have had your tasks scattered across multiple channels and hunting down relevant tasks was painful and time-consuming.

Tip: If you want to search tasks across all boards, check out Tasks.

When you filter a board, you can single out tasks by name, complete/incomplete, start date, due date, tag, group, or the person that the task has been assigned to.

Filtering a board

To open a board’s full range of filters, click on the filter icon within the menu to the top right (next to tags).  The menu will populate on the top right after you have selected a specific board.

Once you have opened up the filter menu, you can instantly find tasks based on the criteria you have set: Task name, completion status, start and end date, assigned to, tag, or group.

Removing filters

To completely remove any filters that you have set, click the white “Clear Filters” button at the bottom of the filters menu.

To close the filters menu once you’re finished, click the “X” in the upper-right corner.  Alternatively, you can also close the filter menu by simply re-clicking the filter icon in the top right corner of the screen.

Drag and drop

Once you have applied your filter settings, you will notice that tasks that do not meet the filter criteria will be collapsed and grayed out.  You can drag and drop any task to rearrange your board in the context of the insight provided by filters.
